Community Kitchen In Madras
Every Tuesday a free meal is served to the community at the United Methodist Church. Our team prepares and serves that meal on the fourth Tuesday of the month.
Community Kitchen In Metolius
Every Thursday a free meal is served to the community at the Metolius Friends Community Church. Our team prepares and serves that meal on the first Thursday of the month.
Annual Community Event
This is an event bringing people together to give back to our community. Church members serve in the park in various ways. The public is invited to come and enjoy the food, fun and services provided such as dental care, vision and hearing screenings, medical checks, massages, family photos, automotive maintenance, fun and crafts for kids, and much more, all for free! This happens the 1st Saturday in August every year.
LINC
LINC is an informational hub that can connect people with resources in Jefferson County and beyond. They are there to help with basic living supplies, food, gas vouchers, short term housing options, firewood and much more. If you know someone in need, put them in touch with LINC. Their office is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10am-2pm. LINC is staffed by volunteers and more reliable helpers are always welcomed.
